The photograph shows a stacked Waters ACQUITY UPLC (Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography) system. The visible labels identify a PDA Detector and a Sample Manager – FTN, along with a lower module labelled Binary Solvent Manager. This is a modular analytical chromatography system used to separate and analyse components in liquid samples.

The system is particularly useful for analytical methods that require high-resolution chromatographic separation and UV-visible spectral detection. In a typical workflow, the solvent management module delivers the mobile phase, the Sample Manager – FTN introduces measured sample volumes into the flow path, the chromatographic column separates the sample components, and the PDA detector records their absorbance spectra. The resulting chromatograms and spectra can be processed using compatible chromatography software.
